Get Ready!

Okay, so here is the break down for all of the events going on in May...

13th--field day

14th--1st grade program

18th--1st grade awards

22nd--wasteless picnic

27th--Karl Young Park party

28th--last day of school (half day)

Buckle up and get ready!  It's gonna be fun, but hectic!

Earler this week we read The Lorax. We talked about how the Lorax saves the trees and The Onceler cuts down all the trees. Then, we created our own creatures...some are good and some are bad. Stayed tuned for pictures and descriptions of our creatures!

Hello! I have a real quick SDMC meeting to go to from 8-8:30 on Friday morning. Can anyone cover for me? Just let me know!

Erasers!

We are in desperate need of erasers!  We have tons of pencils, but they are eraserless...if you would lime to donate some of the big pink erasers to the class just send them with your child to school.  Thanks!

Jobs, Jobs, Jobs!

Today I split the class into groups and each group had a poster board with a certain job written on it. I told each group to write down everything the knew about that job and any questions they had....here are the kids in action!  They really worked together well and had a great time.

This week we decorated Whole Foods grocery bags for Earth Day...here are some of the many great bags that the kids designed.

Save The Earth!!!

Kelley from Ozone Theater came to our class today and taught the kiddoes about pollution and how to take care of our earth. Make sure to ask your child about the Pesky Polluters!
